Meet Dr. Wilkerson
Dr. Wilkerson believes psychiatric care should be about thriving—not just managing symptoms. Her goal is to help patients function well enough to pursue their goals, strengthen relationships, and live more fulfilling lives. She works alongside her patients, helping them make fully informed decisions while guiding them to discover their own capacity for healing and growth. By combining the precision of science, medicine, and testing with an understanding of the spiritual and emotional aspects of health, Dr. Wilkerson takes a whole-person approach. Integrating conventional psychiatry with functional psychiatry allows her to address both biology and inner healing, offering more complete and effective care that maximizes the time, resources, and effort patients invest in their journey toward wellness. Dr. Wilkerson is a Christian and employs this insight with her patients per their preference. Patients, however, don't have to be Christian to pursue care with her.
With extensive experience in inpatient psychiatry, emergency services, and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), Dr. Wilkerson has served in key roles at institutions in central and north Florida. A graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s Doctor of Osteopathy program, Dr. Wilkerson completed residency training at Nova-DOC Psychiatry Residency and has been actively involved in medical education, supervising residents and advanced practice providers. Out of her dedication to provide the most advanced, effective, and informed care for her patients, she is completing additional fellowship training and expertise in Functional Medicine.
